Create ideas for events and organize general body meetings for the largest psychology club on campus, find and allocate materials, work on floor plans, arrange needed supplies for GBMs, work on outreach initiatives for the club, organize club collaborations, run general body meetings, and create and present the slideshow that will be shown during the meetings.

Cognitive Aging and Memory Lab
Working with a lab team to investigate the individual factors that may underlie cognitive offloading behaviors and the amount of benefit that can be obtained by offloading. Run in person experimental sessions with older adults testing their memory and attention as well as cognitive offloading, recruit and screen older adults for studies via phone call, and score data from experiment sessions.

Bilingual Speech and Auditory Neuroscience Lab
Work on a current study looking to assess how vocabulary and memory affect the ability to understand dysarthric speech in bilinguals and monolinguals. Run study sessions with people aged 18-35 where they complete tasks testing their vocabulary and memory and see how well they can report back disordered speech. Recruit participants for the study through email and in person outreach. Assist in writing the methods section for the paper that will be published on this study. Meet bi-weekly with the principal investigator and other researchers to discuss findings and read articles relating to dysarthria and other speech disorders.

Shadow two school speech language pathologists through their sessions for the day, learning about different tactics to help, such as taking them to the sensory room and using AACs. Under the guidance of the school SLP, work with the children on various activities such as helping them pronounce sight words and complete reading comprehension activities. Work with children one on one and in group settings, seeing how each child’s needs are different.
