Hello! My name is Haleigh and I am currently a senior English major at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida. I will be graduating in May of 2026 with my Bachelor of Arts in English with minors in communications, Spanish, and Race, Culture, and Ethnic studies. A few of my hobbies include reading, writing, and thrifting, as I work as a manager of a local thrift store in Lakeland. I, myself, struggled with the idea of attending college in high school because it seemed overwhelming and way too much work. However, after four years in undergrad, I thrived as a student and became in love with my field and extremely dedicated to my passions of reading and writing.

Cantilever's is an on-campus, student led magazine publication which is dedicated to publishing undergrad multimedia pieces such as art, photography, poetry and prose. As the Board Photographer I review photo entries and take the final headshots of all published artists. And as Editor I reviewed all literary entries and chose the most impressive pieces for publication.

Beyond Campus Ministries

Beyond Campus Ministries is an on-campus, student led ministry which focuses on bring God to the students of Florida Southern College in a worship service every Thursday night and a large Worship Night event twice a year. As the Director of Technology, I served on the executive board, managing all lighting, sound, and digital equipment to ensure our services ran smoothly and effectively. Additionally, as a board member, I also assisted in spiritual guidances, acting as a leader to help students feel closer to the Lord during their time at Florida Southern.

Women in the Word

Women in the Word is a women's bible study group at Florida Southern College which meets every Wednesday. We are dedicated to sharing the word of God through bible studies and sisterhood. As President, I dedicate my time to crafting a secure curiculum to study the Bible through in specific college-related topics including: "Hearing God's Voice", "Time Management: God and Studies", and "Spreading the Word: Sharing Your Testimony on Campus."
