I am Heghine Avetisyan. I am married and have two children. I graduated from Armenian State Pedagogical University majoring in Psychology. I earned my bachelor's and master's degrees. After moving to the U.S., I took credit classes at Glendale Community College, majoring in Sociology. While studying, I also worked at GCC at CalWORKs Department as a Peer Mentor. My main job is to help students and navigate them through their academic journey and be sure that they receive all necessary information they need. This year, I decided to evaluate my diplomas from Armenian university and apply for University of Southern California for Master program. I chose Educational Counseling because in the future I want to become a counselor. I like to help and support students. I know that sometimes they can feel lost, don't know how and where to start, and admission process is also hard. I want to share my story with them and say "never give up."
